Coti & Kyle's Devils Thumb Ranch Winter Wedding

Coti & Kyle's Devils Thumb Ranch Winter Wedding

Coti & Kyle's Devils Thumb Ranch Winter Wedding

This Louisiana Duo were married this January at Devils Thumb Ranch. These two had traveled to Colorado several times during their relationship and decided that Devils Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, Colorado would be the perfect place to say "I do". They invited all of their closest friends and family to celebrate their big day! As we set up the Broad Axe Barn with tons of wildflowers provided by AFlore, a full cookie bar by The Dessert Stand, and hanging white sheers that draped from the ceiling, the couple got ready in the near by cabins. The couples ceremony was set up in front of the barn doors. The barn door remained shut and then were slowly opened just as the bride and her father made it down the aisle exposing the breathtaking mountain views in the background. It was a dramatic entrance that left everyone stunned in the best way.  The party got started after the ceremony where guests enjoyed premium cocktails and Colorado Craft Brews. Cocktail Hour took place outdoors on the deck and in the nearby Timber House while the couple made their way to the vast snowy spaces on the property to take their portraits with my fave Alchemy Creative! The best part of this wedding was that all of their guests were from out of state and many had never seen snow before (especially the kids)! After the ceremony tiny little flakes began to fall from the sky and everyone was beyond excited! Being a Colorado native I cant say that i have the same obsession for snow, but it was so cute to see everyone so excited! The guests were brought back into the barn for dinner where they were served a huge gourmet meal by Devils Thumb and their incredibly accommodating catering staff! The party got started when Hipster Mama Productions and the Radio Band hit the stage! all the guests were up and dancing all night long! The ranch doesn't allow sparklers on site so we had to improvise on what we would use for the grand exit. Coti bought these amazing light up batons and battery powered sparklers that we passed out as the band finished its last few songs! We lined the guests up out on the back deck while the snow continued to fall and they cheered on their newly weds as they went off into the night! These photos are absolutely to die for y'all! Rio & Jared's Epic Fall Keystone Wedding

Rio & Jared's Epic Fall Keystone Wedding

Keystone in the fall…why the hell not!

Rio and Jared are a damn good time and so was their wedding day! These two, their three boys, their puppy Cash and 180 of their closest friends booked it up to Keystone for a perfect Colorado Fall wedding! The wedding weekend starting with a welcome BBQ in a huge cabin the couple called the party house for the weekend! As these two are dispensary owners, there was an entire room dedicated to weed goodies for all their guests to enjoy (so fun)! The wedding day was kicked off by hair, make up and mimosas with Divine Beauty Artists! Jared and Rio decided to do a first look and did so right where the gondola let off at the top of Schoolmarm. It was gorgeous and we all cried of course! The couple was married on the top of Keystone Mountain in a breathtaking and incredibly personal ceremony where Rio not only gave vows to her new husband, but to her three adorable boys! After the couple said “I do” and all the mountain top photo ops came to a close, the guests took the gondola down the mountain and caught the shuttle to the reception! The party continued on the 9th hole of Keystone Ranch Golf Course. The couple dined on a 5 course meal (Intermezzo and all) and continued the party in the tent where they danced the night away to the Grateful Dead Cover band, Shakedown Street! Rio and I got super close over the whole year plus of planning and it was so hard to let these two go! Cheers to their beautiful life together! See all the gorge pictures from the day:

What's In a Name? Ya Know Our Business Name!

What's In a Name? Ya Know Our Business Name!

Promise Event Planners huh? Whats that all about?

One of the hardest things about officially starting this little business of mine was picking its name! When you are starting out, picking a name seems so daunting. It has to be meaningful and yet catchy. Something that you will love forever! People ask me all the time how I picked the name of Promise Event Planners! One day I was sitting down and writing out what marriage meant to me. Forever, Best Friend, Soul Mates, and all that mushy gushy stuff were the first things that came to mind. Those words didn't seem to fit and didn't seem to get down to the actual meaning of marriage, a promise. A promise of faithfulness, support, forever love, and still touching each others butts when you're old and wrinkly. The best part of marriage is all of the promises that you and your partner get to make to one another!

The other meaning of Promise was the promise that I make to my clients! I promise that I will be your biggest advocate, support system, spirit animal, cheerleader, and that I will create the best day of your life (and that we will have a shit ton of fun in the process)! This is such an amazing time in a couples life and I promise that I will do my very best to make it as silky smooth as possible.

If you didn't know, now you know!

p.s. this little symbol means so much to me that I got it tattooed on my arm. There’s no going back now!

The Yang's DIY Wedding at Lyons Farmette

The Yang's DIY Wedding at Lyons Farmette

Guys, there were alpacas at their wedding...

TR and Young were married on a sunny summer Sunday at Lyons Farmette. When I met TR and Young, I knew that their relationship was so genuine and sweet that I was so happy to be a part of their day. TR was born hard of hearing and Young does an amazing job of taking care of her and making sure she can be a part of any conversation. TR was a simple DIY bride that made all of her centerpieces including the custom concrete vases. On the big day, the ladies got ready in the Farmette's vintage Airstream trailer. When they were ready, TR and her girls walked her down the dirt path to see her future husband for the very first time. Young cried when he saw her, which made for some amazing photos (the photographer being my boyfriend makes me totally unbiased...). To honor Young's Korean culture and members of his family that traveled all the way from Korea, their officiant performed the ceremony in both English and Korean. After the newlyweds said "I do" their guests tossed dried flower petals from paper cones made from pages of the couples favorite book. For dinner, the guests enjoyed eats from the Asian inspired food truck Bao Chicka Bao Bao. The maid of honor added a personal touch to her toast when she started signing a quote dedicated to TR in sign language. So special. During their planning, the Yang's found out that they were expecting a child which was obviously exciting news. They decided to do a gender reveal in front of all of their wedding guests. They made adorable mustache and pink lip props so their guests could cast their vote for a boy or a girl. IT'S A BOY! This moment was so exciting and there were lots and lots of happy tears. The night ended with dancing and indulging on lots and lots of cupcakes. Cheers to a long and happy marriage you two!
