Morgan and Luke were married on a rainy day at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. Luke is a Marine so these two have spent a large majority of their relationship apart. Being able to be there on their wedding day and see them together was so special. You could feel all of the love in the room!

I usually tell a big long mushy gushy story about my couples and their special day but I will let this amazing video tell the story for me...

Wedding Shoes We Love

Sparkle:

Bling Bling you got the ring! So let your shoes sparkle as much as you will be on your wedding day. Something about sparkly shoes takes me back to being a little girl. I was the little girl wearing Dorthy's sparkly ruby red slippers for about three years. They might as well have been glued to my feet. As an adult, when else do you get to wear shoes that really shine? So go for it!

(Also most of these wedding shoes will probably have a little bit of sparkle. This is my favorite category, so judge me!)

Something on Trend:

Just because wedding days are all about tradition doesn't mean you shouldn't stay true to yourself! If you are the kinda girl that isn't huge on the words "classic" or "traditional", be your true trendy self and rock shoes you love. This way when you tell your husband how much you spent on the shoes he cant be mad because you will totally wear them again! We are actually obsessed with these chunky platforms and those super skinny heeled stilettos.

Nudes:

A classic staple shoe. Nude shoes are known for making your legs look elongated. Well let's make those puppies look three miles long on the best day of your life. Simple!

Your Pop of Color:

Don't be affraid of a little color on your big day. I get it wearing all white can be a little bit scary but break it up with a pretty pop of color. This is the perfect way to bring in your wedding color or your something blue. You picked your wedding colors for a reason so let them show on your feet!

Flats:

Because comfort. Need I say more? These will give you mobility and wont leave you worried about stumbling all over your dress in your brand new heels (that you probably forgot to break in).

Sneakers:

Guys this is going to be me at my wedding I promise you. I am a jeans and sneakers kind of girl and if you are to this might be the look for you! Heels are amazing and all but when you have hours of dancing in your future you might consider changing into something a bit more comfortable. Thank me later.

Pre-Wedding Jitters Bridal Boudoir Shoot

Because who doesn't love a little lingerie...

The inspiration behind this shoot was to use reds, pinks, and oranges to compliment the beauty of this gorgeous red headed model, Krystal. We did the shoot in the white airy natural light studio recently opened by Plank & Pearl, a vintage rental company here in Denver, CO. The Lingerie was provided by Shell Belle Couture all the way in the UK. We collaborated with Painted Primrose to create a gorgeous palm leafed head board, bouquet, and the floral garter to create a cohesive story. The model was dripping in more than $100,000 dollars worth of diamonds provided by The Diamond Reserve. This shoot tells a story of a bride getting ready for her big day. She has her hair and make up done, her sexy bridal lingerie, and now it is time to count down the seconds until she says I do. She even is lucky enough to have a quick call with her groom prior to the wedding. The photos capture this playful moment perfectly. This is a tasteful take on bridal boudoir and how it can make a bride feel sexy and comfortable in her own skin. Brides to be have been shooting boudoir shoots for their future husbands and now more than ever these shoots are more for the bride herself and capturing her confidence. This was such a fun shoot and I hope there is more bridal boudoir in my future! Smooches!

Carlie & Eric's Boettcher Mansion Nuptials

So Our Adventure Begins...

Carlie and Eric were married at Boettcher Mansion in Golden, Colorado on October 14th. Boettcher mansion sits at the very top of lookout mountain making it a perfect setting for this Colorado couple. The couple got ready in the mansions bride and groom suites. The girls made the sweet their own lighting candles brought from home and snacking from a charcuterie board made by the brides mama. The groom even got his hands a little dirty by hammering in this custom directional sign made by his bride! During the planning process Carlie was sure that she didn't want to do a first look. As the days grew closer, she decided she wanted to be able to truly express her adorable emotional self alone with Eric! Carlie and Eric were married in a traditional ceremony on the back porch of Boettcher Mansion. While their guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the couples amazing photographer, Josh, took them out to the top of the mountain where you can see Colorado for miles and miles. This is where he captured some of my favorite couple photos! For dinner guests enjoyed a yummy plated dinner by Footers Catering. As a late night snack we set up a s'mores bar for guests to enjoy. Not only were guests provided with traditional Hersheys chocolate, but they spiced it up with cinnamon graham crackers, Reese's peanut butter cups, and caramel Ghiraridelli. For the couples grande exit, guests rung tiny wishing bells to celebrate Carlie's Irish heritage!
